These days a lot of companies are trying to make their foods healthier because it seems that’s what most consumers want, but it turns out, when it comes to one cereal, customers would prefer to say unhealthy.

General Mills just announced they are bringing back the artificial flavors and colors in their popular Trix cereal. The company removed all the fake stuff about two years ago to appeal to more health-conscious consumers, but it seems Trix fans really weren’t among the group. The company isn’t doing away with the healthier option altogether. Instead, next month they will launch what they are calling “Classic Trix,” which will once again feature the bright colored and fake fruity flavors folks grew up loving.

“We have heard from many Trix fans who have been calling, emailing and reaching out on social media to tell us that they miss the old product,” General Mills spokesman Mike Siemienas tells “Today.” “We know consumers have differing food preferences, and providing consumers choices of what they would like to eat is very important to General Mills. As a result, we are launching ‘Classic Trix’ to fill these consumer requests.”

Apparently, customers weren’t necessarily upset with the taste of the healthy Trix, but the look. Turns out the biggest complaint was that the healthy Trix weren’t colorful enough.
