Janet Jackson Considered Canceling Her Tour After Dad Joe's Death

Janet Jackson was reeling BIG TIME from Joe Jackson's recent death -- so much so, that she considered cancelling her entire tour! She played the Essence Festival over the weekend in New Orleans, and opened up to the crowd about how she's been struggling recently with Joe's death.

You can watch the video below, and here is a quote of what she had to say in the video:

"I didn't know what to do. I didn't know how to go forward—if I should cancel the festival, cancel this entire tour," she told the audience. "I talked to my brother and we started to speak about my father's strength. He was very strong. Without his drive, his strength, we wouldn't have this success. We're a black family that came from Gary, Indiana and we broke all kinds of records all around the globe. That's truth."

We are so glad she decided NOT to cancel anything! We cannot wait to see her at Hersheypark Stadium on July 20th! Tickets are on sale now.
