Lots of interesting foods get their own festivals, and now in Philly, we can finally add… PICKLES to that list! Philly will welcome its very first Pickledelphia Pickle Festival on Sunday September 9th at Schmidt’s Commons in Northern Liberties. They’ll be over 50 vendors with tons of pickle treats, plus, as Billy Penn reports, “pickle parodies set to country music, pickle pajamas, pickle eating contests, pickle LOVE shirts, and pickelback shots.”
On Facebook, nearly 50,000 have already RSVP’d to plan to go, too! Not gonna lie, not too surprising since a LOT of people love pickles! Plus, this event definitely sounds like it’s going to be unique.
You can also sample other pickle creations at the festival, like Herr’s pickle chips, pickles on sticks, fried pickles, pickle grilled cheese from Milkhouse, and even Pickle ICE CREAM from Scoop DeVille!
We have been working "dilly" gently behind the scenes to produce a Pickle Festival that #Philadelphia will genuinely enjoy. Thus far we have completed agreements with entertainment from My Hero Zero & Shot of Southern. There will be a Beer Garden🍺 by Urban Village Brewing Company, the Jameson Irish Whiskey & Brine Brothers Pickle Back Experience🥃, a Bloody Mary Bar from EPIC Pickles & Blake Shelton's Smithworks Vodka. Pickle Pizza🍕, Pickle Grill Cheese, Pickle Cheesecake Icecream🍦, Pickle Brine Fried Chicken🐓, Fried Pickles of all kinds, Pickle Corn Dogs🌭, Pickle Egg Roles, Dill Pickle popcorn🍿, Custom Pickle Merchandise, Carnival Games and so much more. 🥒😀 #foodfestival #phillyfood #pickles
